Higuchi Madoka, voiced by Rio Tsuchiya, is a 17-year-old idol from 283 Production in The Idolm@ster Shiny Colors, a member of the quartet Noctchill. A Tokyo-born Scorpio with brown hair, purple eyes and a beauty mark by her eye, she’s a sharp-tongued high school sophomore who acts indifferent to idol work and resents the producer deeply. She joined 283 Production to watch over her childhood friend Asakura Toru, suspecting the producer of tricking Toru, only staying for "monitoring the producer". Though she claims idol work is easy and downplays her singing talent, she’s a hard worker who secretly practices alone. As the rational one in Noctchill, she teases the group’s wild acts, fixes Toru’s mistakes for a fee and is kind to her childhood friend Komachi Fukumaru, always supporting her efforts.
