Hachikuji Mayoi
Hachikuji Mayoi, voiced by Emiri Katou, is a key character in the Monogatari series and the heroine of its "Mayoi Snail" arc. A 144cm-tall ghost of a schoolgirl with twin ponytails like snail tentacles and a big hiking bag, she’s the embodiment of the oddity "Lost Cow", nicknamed "Lost Girl" by Meme Oshino. She died in a car crash on the way to see her mother after her parents’ divorce, wandering the town as a ghost for a decade, unable to reach any destination. Mischievous and sharp-tongued, she bickers with Araragi Koyomi often and mispronounces his name. Freed from her curse with Araragi’s help, she ascended but lingered out of attachment, later falling into hell and being brought back to the mortal world by Araragi in Owarimonogatari, then enshrined as a god. She also appears as a magical girl in Magia Record with the power to control space-time vortexes.
